Fox Shotguns Arms Historian with a description of the original state of the firearm along with information of where it was shipped from from factory"Your double was completed for inventory at the A.H. Fox, Philadelphia plant and was subsequently shipped on November 5, 1910. The original consignee is recorded as the Van Deren Hardware Co. No address was provided. The "A" Grade was the first in a line of graded shotguns offered by the Fox Gun Co. The effective but simple engraving pattern was meant to appeal to discriminating sportsman that wanted more than basic field grade. This grade could be built to order relative to barrels, stocks, triggers, ejectors, etc. Stocks could be had in half, full pistol grip or straight grip at no additional cost. This grade was in the catalog from 1905 until 1942, making it one of the grades offered for the longest period of time. The basic price in 1910 was $50.00."
