Available - this neat old Quackenbush Safety rifle. Chambered for .22 Short (only), it's a very unique item! The Quackenbush rifle, invented by industrialist Henry M. Quackenbush, is a cleverly made "Boys Safety' rifle" sold in the 1893-1920 period. The 'monoblock" action works by snapping it open sideways, loading the chamber, closing the block and manually cocking the striker. There is no manual safety. This one is the take down version. It has a Shutzen style butt plate on a hardwood stock. The bore is so-so with visible rifling. The original blued finish is mostly faded away but there is no active rust. We have test fired and cleaned this rifle and function was entirely correct.
