All of these Samson sights lock in place in both deployed and folded positions. The iron sight spring mechanism is quite durable and is completely concealed to prevent dirt from fouling the rifle sight mechanism. The single aperture rear sight has a "cross" shaped aperture to minimize diffraction; this sight is very fast for CQ and precise for longer ranges.
