The PhD 1911 was designed to be an affordable, custom pistol with the attributes of a much more expensive model. Starting with a standard government frame, our pistol smith spends at least 4 hours building and fitting each component of the PhD to ensure the perfect fit and highest quality. The slide features some of the most aggressive cocking serrations we've seen to give the operator a secure grip even in wet or less-than-desirable conditions. Internally, the PhD mirrors many parts with our top-of-the-line C Series 1911's, including the Storm Lake stainless match barrels and the Ed Brown Tactical Grip Safety. The beautiful blend of forged Cylinder and Slide internals and Greider Precision V-Series Match triggers give the PhD the smooth, crisp trigger you expect in a premium 1911 at a much lower cost.
